Board of Trustees Officers
In 2009, the Women’s University Club of Seattle Board of Trustees, as Trustors of the Women’s University Club Scholarship Foundation, a non profit organization in Seattle, amended and restated the Trust Agreement of 2005. Approval from the IRS was received on July 13, 2009.
The restated 501(c)3 non-profit public charitable trust is titled:
The Women’s University Club of Seattle Foundation and is an umbrella trust for three Councils and their Funds.
The Community Education & Outreach Council and Fund supports the Women's University Club's focus on lifelong learning and shares that focus with others in ways to benefit our community.
The Historic Landmark Preservation Council & Fund help preserve and maintain that portion of the clubhouse of the Women’s University Club of Seattle designated as a “Historic Landmark” and one of Seattle historic buildings by the City of Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board.
The Scholarship Awards Council & Fund provide scholarships on behalf of the Women’s University Club of Seattle. Scholarships are awarded to both high school senior women and Women-in-Transition [WIT] who demonstrate outstanding character, achievement, leadership and an interest in public service.
The Women’s University Club of Seattle Foundation provides an avenue for tax deductible contributions through our Seattle non profit organization to:
- Expand educational opportunities through community outreach.
- Preserve the Women’s University Club historic building.
- Provide scholarships to women of outstanding character, achievement, leadership and public service.
