Since 2003, the Women’s University Club of Seattle Foundation has annually awarded scholarships to graduating high school senior women and women-in-transition. Each spring, we honor these recipients at a special gala event.
In 2011, two years after its addition to the Foundation, the Community Education & Outreach Council established a program to provide grants to further musical education in our local schools. Our “Music Counts, Count Me In” event held in May is expected to be repeated annually. In addition, the CE&O Council continues to pursue various avenues to enhance the intellectual vitality of our community through quality lectures, programs and projects.
The Historic Preservation Council is currently promoting a capital campaign to collect funds necessary to replace the windows in our 98-year-old building which was identified as a Historic Landmark in 2009.
